Know and understand

• The common terminology and grammatical descriptions used in grammars, lexicons and commentaries
• New Testament Greek grammar and syntax to at least half way through one standard grammar of New Testament Greek
• About 150-300 words of Greek vocabulary
• Essential grammatical issues that influence understanding and translation of the Greek text of the New Testament

Be able to

• Understand common terminology and grammatical descriptions used in grammars, lexicons and commentaries
• Utilise foundational paradigms, constructions and vocabulary

Be in a position to

• Begin translation of simple Greek New Testament texts

Typical areas to be covered would include completion of at least the first half of a standard introduction to New Testament Greek (e.g. Mounce).
