EM202-512 – Evangelism and Missiology in Context

This unit explores the interaction between Christian discipleship, social justice and mission. It will include research into the historical causes of some aspects of global injustice, the theological implications of global injustice and the church’s response to this. The student will then experience a ten-day mission immersion experience in Thailand observing and participating in the ministry and mission of a local church, addressing issues of injustice and poverty. Students will subsequently be led through significant reflection with the goal of integrating relevant learnings into their experience of Christian discipleship.
