Faith and the Arts Fridays
7 Oct 22 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Join us for four Friday nights for conversation, imagination and creativity with multi-talented artists, musicians and writers as they talk about how their Christian faith intersects and interacts with their artistic endeavours.
12 August  Visual Artist: Lyn Diefenbach
Lyn’s pastels and oil paintings celebrate life and beauty, and her bold floral works have gained national and international attention.
9 September  Musician: Chris Poulsen and his Trio
This energetic jazz/fusion combo has toured internationally supporting artists such as Yellow Jackets, Mike Stern and Cindy Blackman. The Trio is inspired by jazz pianists such as Herbie Hancock and Chick Corea, and the styles of traditional gospel and 60s hard bop.
7 October  Award-Winning Author: Claire Zorn
With four critically acclaimed novels and a children’s book to her name, Zorn is one of Australia’s most celebrated contemporary YA authors.
4 November  Film Buff and Theologian: Paul Jones
Paul Jones is a self-confessed movie tragic, but he’s convinced that watching films thoughtfully can lead to a closer reading of Scripture and a deeper engagement with God.
